Fast and Easy Sweet and Sour Sauce

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
5 tablespoons ketchup
1 cup pineapple juice
3 teaspoons cornstarch
Measure the cornstarch into a separate bowl; set aside. Mix the remaining ingredients together and put in a saucepan. Heat over low to medium heat (just below a simmer). Do not let mixture come to a boil. Slowly stir in the cornstarch a little at a time. Continue stirring until mix is smooth and slightly thick. Remove from heat source.
