2 celery stalks -- diced
2 carrots -- diced
1 parsnip -- diced
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon minced basil
1 tablespoon minced fresh Italian parsley
1 tablespoon minced fresh oregano
Place all ingredients into a 4-quart slow cooker. Stir. Cook on LOW for 4 hours. Stir before serving.
